
Rtica Inc. has received confirmation from ICC Evaluation Service, Inc. (ICC-ES), that its RTICA® insulation complies with the provisions of the 1997 Uniform Building Code™, the 2000 International Building Code® and the 2000 International Residential Building Code®. Evaluation report ER-5977 published by ICC-ES enables local code officials across 46 states in the U.S. to approve the use of RTICA® under these codes. (see Press Release March 10, 2004). ER-5977 covers markets that represent over 90% of building activity in the U.S., a milestone that augurs well for the widespread acceptance of RTICA® throughout local jurisdictions.

RTICA® meets the applicable sections of:
ASTM C 764, Mineral Fiber Loose-fill Insulation
ASTM C 739, Cellulose Fiber Loose-fill Insulation

RTICA® Fire Hazard Classification as described in UL S102.2:
Avg. Flame Spread Index; 10
Avg. Smoke Development Index; 70

The stated R values in attics (section 6, ASTM C 518) are achieved at weights and coverage specified when RTICA® is installed with pneumatic equipment in accordance with manufacturer’s recommendations.

Rtica will comply with ISO 9002 requirements at the start of production and will attempt registration by the end of 2009.

Installation procedures and techniques must be those recommended by Rtica Environmental Systems Inc. employing blowing machines approved for Rbuds™ expansion and delivery into place.
